2009

GTS Celebrates 30th Anniversary 

The new letterhead on our invoices, statements, and other documents reflects the fact that GTS has now been in business providing outstanding customer service for 30 years.

GTS Yard Closures

GTS remains well-positioned to weather the economic challenges we're facing. Our
standing comes from careful monitoring of the economy and the market conditions within our industry.

Since the beginning of the year, these conditions have worsened without a positive long term outlook for recovery. To remain a viable and profitable business, it has been necessary to realign our strategies based on geographical needs. Consequently, this has created some extremely difficult decisions. The end result, sadly to say, is to close three of our GTS yards: Hillsboro, Burlington, and Klamath Falls. These closures were effective July 31st.

With continued oversight and clear direction, GTS will successfully maintain its position as a market leader in our industry; your continued support and dedication to our motto, GTS (Growth-through-Service) will assist in ensuring this success.

2007

2007 Industry Person of the Year Award     

Congratulations to Mike Nunn who was honored by his fellow industry leaders by  receiving the “2007 Industry Person of the Year Memorial Award” given by the Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau.  The NWCB primarily serves British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.

The award is for outstanding service and devotion to the Wall & Ceiling Industry.  Mike has served on the Board of Directors for 10 years and has served as the Secretary for the last 8 years.

2006

Central Oregon Building Supply Acquisition

Effective May 1, 2006 GTS purchased Central Oregon Building Supply. With this purchase GTS expands it's business to 23 locations and over 400 employees. We will enter new markets including Bend, OR., Klamath Falls, OR., Redmond, OR., Boise, ID., McCall, ID., and Missoula, MT. We will be distributing new product lines including roofing material.

JASCO Acquisition

We will be increasing our acoustical sales in the Oregon market with the acquisition of JASCO. This acquisition gives us the opportunity to expand our drywall business in their Medford location and to increase our market share in the acoustical business in our current Eugene and Portland locations. We will also be selling new product lines of manufactured sound panels and laminated products. JASCO has a long and successful history of providing outstanding service to their customers. We welcome those JASCO employees who have joined our team and we look forward to working together to make this venture successful.

2005

Our GTS Rathdrum, ID location has recently taken delivery of its new 2006 model Sterling Boom truck. The truck has the new redesigned IMT Series 310642 wallboard crane mounted on it. We actually have seven units just like this coming into our fleet this year. Our Poulsbo and Spokane locations will both get two units, while our Battle Ground and Tacoma locations will get one unit each.

2004

GTS Administrative headquarters has combined with the Kirkland sales location in a newly remodeled building located at 10819 - 120th Avenue NE in Kirkland, Washington.
